The B.Tech. All those candidates who have passed 10+2 examination from any Board recognised or established by Central/State Government through a legislation and member of Council of School Education (COBSE) with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory and Chemistry/Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology/Biology / Information Practices / Biotechnology / technical Vocational subject/Agriculture / Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies and obtained at least with 60% marks (55% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in above subjects taken together.

Initiated with scholarships worth ₹5 Cr for 400+ students in 2021, the initiative grew rapidly, reaching ₹7 Cr for 1100+ students in 2022, ₹10 Cr for 2500+ students in 2023, and ₹12 Cr for 2900+ students in 2024. In 2025, the scholarship amount increased to ₹25 Cr, helping thousands of students. Now, for the academic year 2026–27, CGC University, Mohali is offering scholarships worth ₹50 Cr.
