
CGC University, Mohali, took another meaningful step towards creating stronger industry connections for students with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the School of Management Studies and Young Indians (Yi), an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), during Management Summit 2026. The MoU was signed by Prof. Uma P. Jaidev, Dean, School of Management Studies, and Mr. Akshit Garg, Director, Core Metal Krafts Ltd and Chairman, Yi Chandigarh Chapter, in the presence of Dr. Harleen Kaur Dhillon, faculty members, students, and industry professionals.
The collaboration is aimed at giving students more opportunities to learn beyond textbooks and classrooms. Through the Yi Yuva platform, students will now be able to participate in leadership programs, networking events, entrepreneurship initiatives, social impact activities, skill development sessions, and interactions with professionals from different industries. Young Indians, widely known for working with youth and leadership development, focus on encouraging young people to become confident leaders and active contributors to society. Its vision closely matches CGC University, Mohali’s approach towards holistic education and student growth.
