
Reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation, research excellence, and global academic collaboration, CGC University, Mohali successfully organised the 3rd International Conference on Recent Advancements in Communication, Computing and Artificial Intelligence (RACCAI–2026). The two-day international conference emerged as a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange, bringing together eminent academicians, researchers, scientists, industry experts, and students from across the world to deliberate on emerging technological advancements and future research directions.
The conference commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony marked by the presence of distinguished dignitaries from academia and industry. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Bhola Ram Gurjar, Vice Chancellor and Director, NITTTR Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest. Joining him as Guests of Honour were Prof. (Dr.) M. N. Hoda, IEEE Chairperson and Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth, and Prof. Rajesh Kumar Dubey, Director, UGC-MMTTC. The conference also featured renowned keynote speakers, including Prof. (Dr.) Maninder Singh, Professor and Chief Technology Officer, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology; Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Professor and Head, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh; and Dr. Bukhoree Saoh, Associate Professor, Walailak University, Thailand, whose thought-provoking deliberations provided valuable insights into the rapidly evolving landscape of communication technologies, advanced computing systems, and artificial intelligence.
Organised under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Goyal, Vice Chancellor, CGC University, Mohali, and chaired by Dr. Sajjan Singh, Principal CCE and Conference Chair, RACCAI–2026, reflected the University’s growing stature as a centre of academic excellence and research-driven innovation. Their guidance and unwavering support played a pivotal role in bringing together a diverse community of scholars and professionals committed to advancing knowledge and technological progress.
The overwhelming global response to the conference highlighted its increasing significance within the international research community. RACCAI–2026 received an impressive 1,083 research paper submissions from researchers representing universities, institutions, and organisations across multiple countries. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 241 high-quality research papers*were accepted for presentation and discussion. These papers were presented through 16 hybrid parallel technical sessions, facilitating meaningful academic interaction and collaboration among participants from diverse geographical locations.
The technical sessions covered a broad spectrum of emerging and transformative research domains, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Communication Systems, Computing Technologies, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security, Intelligent Networks, Automation, and Advanced Information Systems. The presentations showcased innovative methodologies, breakthrough findings, and practical applications aimed at addressing contemporary technological challenges and contributing to societal advancement.
A major highlight of the conference was the series of keynote addresses delivered by distinguished experts and thought leaders. Participants gained valuable perspectives from Dr. Baban Kumar Bansod, Chief Scientist and Professor, CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh, and Dr. Ayush Shrivastava, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, MMU Mullana, who shared their expertise on cutting-edge research developments, emerging technology trends, innovation ecosystems, and the transformative role of artificial intelligence in shaping future industries and societies.
The conference culminated with an inspiring valedictory session graced by Prof. (Dr.) Abdul Quaiyum Ansari, Professor, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, he commended the organizers for successfully creating a dynamic international forum that encouraged interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative research. He emphasised the growing importance of innovation-driven research, technological integration, and cross-disciplinary partnerships in addressing complex global challenges and accelerating sustainable development.
Adding significant academic value to the event, the conference organisers announced that selected research papers presented during RACCAI–2026 would be published in the prestigious AIP Publishing Proceedings, indexed in Scopus. This opportunity will provide international visibility, wider dissemination, and enhanced recognition for the innovative research contributions showcased during the conference.
