CELEBRATING THE SOUL OF OUR NATION: HINDI DIWAS AT CGC UNIVERSITY, MOHALI

CGC University, Mohali, came alive with the vibrant celebration of Hindi Diwas. The occasion served as a meaningful reminder of the power of language in shaping identity, preserving heritage, and nurturing unity among people.
The program began with a warm floral welcome of the Chief Guest, Mr. Sanjeev Mahajan, followed by an introduction that reflected on the essence of Hindi Diwas and its relevance in today’s world. The celebration was enriched with spirited student participation. In the poetry recitation competition, Laxmi secured the first prize with a moving piece that evoked love for the mother tongue, while Priyanshu won second place and Jasanpreet Kaur took the third prize, both leaving the audience spellbound with their heartfelt verses. The Just a Minute competition added another dimension to the event, as students spoke with confidence on the theme “Hamari Matribhasha ya Viksit Bharat.” Disha’s eloquence earned her the first prize, followed by the impressive performances of Chandan Kaushika and Alex, who were awarded second and third positions respectively.
In his special address, the Chief Guest urged students to honor and respect their mother tongue while also contributing meaningfully to the collective vision of a developed India. His words of wisdom left a deep impact on the young audience, inspiring them to embrace their linguistic heritage with pride and responsibility.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the winners were honored for their creativity and expression. The day ended on a note of pride and celebration, leaving behind an atmosphere of cultural reverence and unity.
