UJJWAL DIWALI 2025: A GREEN DIWALI INITIATIVE SPREADING LIGHT, LOVE, AND LOCAL GOODWILL

In a heartwarming celebration of compassion and sustainability, “Ujjwal Diwali: Green Diwali Celebration with Needy Children” was organised under The Great NavBharat Mission Foundation at Ram Darbaar, Public Park, Chandigarh, under the noble guidance of Honourable Founder Chancellor of CGC University, Mohali, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal. The initiative stood as a radiant embodiment of the belief that the true essence of Diwali goes beyond decorations and festivities — it lives in the joy we share and the lives we touch.

This noble effort resonated deeply with the Honourable Prime Minister’s vision of “Vocal for Local” and the Swadeshi Movement, encouraging people to celebrate with consciousness and care. The event promoted an eco-friendly Diwali by distributing Swadeshi diyas, sweets, crockery, and festive essentials to underprivileged families, fostering both environmental responsibility and social harmony.

Spreading smiles and festive cheer, the initiative touched over 300 families, ensuring that the brilliance of Diwali reached every home and heart. Volunteers of the foundation engaged warmly with children and families, sharing sweets, stories, and moments of joy — turning the day into a haven of light, laughter, and love.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Honourable Founder Chancellor of CGC University, Mohali, shared,
“The brightness of Diwali lies not in the lamps we light in our homes, but in the smiles we bring to others. Through Ujjwal Diwali, we aim to inspire a culture of compassion, sustainability, and togetherness — where celebration becomes service.”

Ujjwal Diwali 2025 was more than an event — it was a movement of mindful celebration and shared humanity. Under the vision of S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal and the commitment of The Great NavBharat Mission Foundation, this initiative reaffirmed that the true spirit of Diwali shines brightest when it illuminates the lives of others.
