Great NavBharat Mission Foundation Under CGC University, Mohali Stands in Solidarity with Flood-Affected Punjab

In the wake of the devastating floods that have deeply impacted large parts of Punjab, the Great NavBharat Mission Foundation, under the aegis of CGC University, Mohali, extends its heartfelt support and solidarity to all those affected by this unprecedented crisis.

As thousands face the challenges of displacement, loss of livelihood, and health vulnerabilities, the Foundation has launched a comprehensive relief initiative aimed at alleviating immediate hardships and fostering community resilience.

The initiative was formally flagged off today under the gracious guidance and inspirational leadership of Hon’ble Founder Chancellor, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, with buses carrying Ration Kits, Medical Kits, and teams of volunteers departing for the flood-affected areas.

Relief operations will begin in Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur—one of the worst-hit regions—where families are being provided with immediate assistance to help them recover from the devastation. This humanitarian mission will be carried out through the active participation of student and faculty volunteers, whose compassion and dedication are making a tangible difference on the ground.

“Our contribution, though humble in the face of such vast suffering, is a reflection of our shared humanity and deep-rooted commitment to Punjab,” said Hon’ble Founder Chancellor S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal. “In times of adversity, we must come together—not just as an institution, but as a family devoted to service.”

This initiative is not just a relief operation, but a reaffirmation of CGC University, Mohali’s enduring values of empathy, service, and social responsibility. It underscores the university’s mission to go beyond academic excellence and stand as a pillar of strength for the community in times of need.

As Punjab embarks on the path to recovery, we stand united—with open hearts and helping hands—determined to rebuild lives, restore hope, and rise stronger together.
