Reinforcing its commitment to community development and youth empowerment, the Great NavBharat Mission Foundation under CGC University, Mohali successfully organized "Udaan – Skill & Innovation Camp," a three-day transformative initiative aimed at equipping rural youth with essential life skills, technical knowledge, and a spirit of innovation.
Held under the inspiring theme "Navi Soch, Navi Udaan," the camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 30–40 students and volunteers belonging to the villages of Machli Kalan, Baasiyan, and Jhanjeri. The initiative served as a dynamic platform for experiential learning, fostering confidence, self-reliance, and holistic development among the participants.
The camp featured a diverse range of hands-on workshops and interactive sessions designed to bridge the gap between education and practical application. Participants received training in Basic Computer Skills and MS Word, significantly enhancing their digital literacy and preparing them for the demands of an increasingly technology-driven world.
Adding a practical dimension to the programme, the camp also included Mechanical and Carpentry Workshops, where participants gained exposure to technical tools, machinery, craftsmanship, and problem-solving techniques. An Automobile Awareness Session further familiarized students with the fundamentals of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety.
Recognizing the importance of personal well-being and safety, the camp incorporated Self-Defence Training Sessions, empowering participants with essential safety skills while boosting their confidence and self-esteem. Daily Yoga Sessions promoted physical fitness, mental wellness, discipline, and mindfulness, ensuring the holistic growth of every participant.
Throughout the three-day programme, participants actively engaged in experiential learning activities that encouraged creativity, innovation, teamwork, and leadership. The camp not only enhanced their technical competencies but also instilled values of discipline, perseverance, and lifelong learning.
